In Memory of My Furbaby, Autumn.

Brooke Cadett, craftivate

Happy Monday, all!

Not feeling my usual happy, crafty self this week. We lost a very important, loyal and loving member of our family; our doggie, Autumn. She was our 8 year old Weimaraner and big sister to our human children. It's hard to feel inspired when your heart is sad, but we always have to give it our best. So, in an effort to keep y'all happy, crafty and inspired I did a little DIY digging and came up with a list of favorite DIY-ers and their projects for you to check out and start off your week with a little spunk, color and beauty.

Favorite DIY-ers; Their Blog Posts & Projects

Vintage Revivals

Meet Mandi. She is a SAHM, decorator and blogger who loves to laugh and believes if she can do it, you can do it! My kind of gal! Check out her plywood pinwheel art below, lovin' it! Soft colors, clean lines, just bursting with happiness!

Sugar & Cloth

And here's Ashley Rose, crafter and baker from Houston, TX. She is also a co-founder of Creative Collective Houston, a group dedicated to helping creative small businesses connect with fellow local businesses to cross- promote and collaborate. Love small business love! Looking for something cheery and adorable for the kiddos? Check out her animal knob tutorial (oh, foxy! I heart you!).

| A Subtle Revelry |

A Subtly Revelry is one of the blogs I get weekly email updates from <3. Featured in Better Homes and Gardens, Living Etc., Southern Style, Good Housekeeping, Elle Decor, Artful Blogging and Family Fun magazines, she has a pretty good handle on what is going on in the DIY world! I just happened to stumble across her little unicorn piñata today and it was love at first sight!

A Beautiful Mess

Sisters Elsie and Emma own A Beautiful Mess, a "women's lifestyle company focused on creating happiness every day through a homemade lifestyle." I really enjoyed this post, Never Stop Learning, about setting goals and realizing your own dreams. It's a quick read with simple, realistic life advice. And afterward you can browse through their hundreds of DIY projects!

A Prudent Life

Last, I'll introduce you to Melissa. She is obsessed with home decor and organization, and mom to a 5 year old fur baby, Maddie. On that note, my final DIY project is in memory of Autumn. Looking forward to creating this doggie silhouette piece.

That wraps up my post for this week. Hope you found something that made you smile or inspired your next round of messy hands and a free heart.

We miss you Autumn! Doggie Heaven just got a little prettier with you there.

XO, until we meet again! Brooke
